«АLCON DIAMOND»

Concern "АLCON " - one of the largest materials science centers of  Europe which develops the newest technologies of  synthesis and application of synthetic diamonds and other superhard materials.
State  owned enterprise "Alcon Diamond" was created in 1998, as a structure allowing  to use effectively  potential of developments of Institute for Superhard Materials.
By the results of industrial activity for 1999 the enterprise
was awarded by a honorable medal.
The priority direction of activity of  the enterprise is manufacture  of  grinding  and micro powders from synthetic diamonds and cubic boron  nitride.

Total area of the production areas, used by it  makes 6800кв.м. Book cost of production areas and the equipment makes more than 8 million Ukrainian grivnas.
State  owned enterprise "Alcon Diamond" has a big park of modern equipment:
·    Press equipment - 110 units
·    Equipment for chemical treatment and enrichments -   15units.
·    Equipment for classification - 250 units.
·    Control  equipments- 36  units.

«Alcon - Diamond» is  the largest factory in Ukraine and the CIS countries releasing by technologies, developed at ISM NAS Ukraine all known nomenclature of diamond and CBN grinding and micro powders  which quality is at at the best world manufacturers level.

The enterprise makes a quality control and certification of:

·Grinding synthetic diamonds and CBN powders which static strength  factor is less than 24,5 N taken on devices DA-1;
·Grinding synthetic diamonds and CBN powders which static strength  factor is in the range 24,5 N up to 245 N taken on devices DA-2M;
·Grinding synthetic diamonds and CBN powders which static strength  factor exceed 245 N taken on devices DDA-33 with a strength limit up to 1000 N;
A quality control and certification of grinding synthetic diamonds and CBN powders are carried out according to demands  of standards  ДСТУ 3292-95,  У99-090.018-98, ISO565, FEPA - both in micrometers, and in a mesh-range.

For certification of synthetic diamonds and CBN micropowders  devices LMS-30 and GRANOLOMETR are used. The factory releases powders of the following non-standard grit sizes: 0,25/0, 0,5/0, 3/1, 4/2, 8/4, 10/5, 12/5, 16/8, 20/10, 25/12, 30/20, 40/20.
